{"id":2668,"date":"2023-09-20T09:39:24","date_gmt":"2023-09-20T09:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.caring-nature.com\/en\/?p=2668"},"modified":"2024-07-13T12:12:01","modified_gmt":"2024-07-13T12:12:01","slug":"too-much-binge-behavior-is-not-the-problem-its-the-symptom-of-a-deeper-problem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.caring-nature.com\/en\/too-much-binge-behavior-is-not-the-problem-its-the-symptom-of-a-deeper-problem\/","title":{"rendered":"Too-much binge behavior is not the problem, it\u2019s the symptom of a deeper problem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">So often my mindset coaching clients tell me how much they binge watching Netflix, binge eating snacks, or binge shopping stuff when they&#8217;re &#8220;supposed to&#8221; get some work done, go to gym, save money, etc.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">And those behaviors feel good at the moment, but bring them more guilt, shame, frustration, self-blame and self-criticism. <\/span><\/span><\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/tmp\/lu33727rjrp6o.tmp\/lu33727rjrp73_tmp_f0482c0e88bf6f4d.png\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" name=\"image4.png\" align=\"bottom\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ironically, deep down their true desire is to feel peaceful and content about themselves.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">No, this doesn&#8217;t happen to just unmotivated people who just want self indulgence.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This pattern appears in many of my very hard working, perfectionistic, highly performance driven clients who seek help from trauma release work.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Many people who have excellent track records in work or life achievement also&#8212;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Carry a much deeper level of self-imaging insecurity of \u201cI&#8217;m not good enough&#8221; that might have been rooted for long and caused lack of confidence and self acceptance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Does that sound like you?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This drives the perfectionistic high-level expectations to self, with all the rigid requirements and self enforcing behaviors to keep pushing and overwhelming you. <\/span><\/span><\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/tmp\/lu33727rjrp6o.tmp\/lu33727rjrp73_tmp_240cdb68b3df019a.png\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" name=\"image6.png\" align=\"bottom\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">But you forget that you&#8217;re a human, not a machine. Even a machine needs to be maintained, and a human cannot be exhausting the body and mind without any chance to recharge.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">When the body and mind are already burning out but the high expectation is unwilling to reset the rigidity, the disappointment and frustration kick in and enhance the anxiety.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The more anxious and worried you feel about the &#8220;performance&#8221; according to the rigid bar of standard, the more you&#8217;re misaligned with the true emotional desire.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">So when the more the parts of you that want to comfort you feel that inner disturbance, the more compensation of seeking temporary relief\/distraction happens, hence over compensation with binge do-ing.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">That&#8217;s why if you only force yourself with strict routines, the unsatisfied emotional needs and the overcompensating parts will cry out harder &#8220;what about me&#8221; and bounce with stronger resistance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Then the rigid part feels insecure (not good enough) and pushes back more, so you feel greater inner conflicts like a tension pulling you to one end or the other.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Instead of focusing on the discipline on the surface (which throws you out of balance more), bring yourself to growing the centered, open, aware, connected, holding (COACH) mental state.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">There are many ways in hypnotherapy to bring yourself in, come back to YOU, settle in and settle down, return to that COACH state. <\/span><\/span><\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/tmp\/lu33727rjrp6o.tmp\/lu33727rjrp73_tmp_7b95b9fe2a093afa.png\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" name=\"image5.png\" align=\"bottom\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">That&#8217;s what I guide my clients to learn in rapid transformational therapy work.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">With me, part of your practice is also to notice what tool(s) have you used to bring yourself back to COACH state?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #050505;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">How do you feel afterwards?
